Senapati, March 15 2020:
A two-day horticultural crops and livestock management training programme was held at Pudunamei village under Song Song Sub-division on March 14 and 15 .
It was organized by Pudunamei Youth and Students' Organizations in collaboration with Don Bosco Youth and Educational Services (DBYES) of Dimapur province.
The resource persons spoke on the benefits and impact of our economy through local vegetation and it's high demand in the market today.
With artificial chemical and growth hormones, induced vegetables and livestock taking over the markets and causing serious health concerns, the locally grown products and livestock are best suited to our present lifestyles.
Mao has the best weather and vegetables in the market as most are grown naturally without any chemicals or artificial fertilizers.
Different sessions were animated by Professor Dr Pauline Alila, Department of Horticulture and Dr M Catherine Rutsa (Associate Professor), Department of Livestock Production & Management, NU, SASRD, Medziphema, Nagaland.
