ADC Senapati observes 1st anniversary of BJP-NPF coalition

Marking the first anniversary of running the Autonomous District Council, Senapati by a BJP-NPF coalition, a grand celebration was held at Multi-Purpose Hall, ADC, Senapati.
The programme was held in the presence of all elected ADC members including CEO, ADC, Senapati and the staff of ADC, Senapati district headquarters.
Hingba John, Vice Chairman, ADC, Senapati while bringing his welcome note to the gathering, extended gratitude to all who have been continuously supporting the ADC.
Addressing the gathering, A Kapani, Chairman of ADC, Senapati highlighted a few achievements that the council has made in just a year besides the routine developmental works being undertaken from time to time under his chairmanship.
Realising the need to coordinate and streamline existing Town committee that is functioning unevenly, the ADC gave priority to the adoption of Town Committee bylaws and constitution/establishment of formal Karong-Senapati Town Committee (KSTC) which has been successfully implemented.
To maintain a sustainable ecological balance in the district, a botanical garden was inaugurated at Hingtugujang on Van Mahotsav Day (2019) to showcase and motivate the people of the district the various floras that can thrive well in the land, he added.
The ADC, Senapati have pressurised the implementing agency for early construction of drainage system in the town and had also recently installed road divider/median at Senapati Town for public safety, he added.
Saying that a foot over bridge is under construction at the heart of Senapati Town to ease the traffic and pedestrian movement, he added that the old public toilet located below the Town office, Senapati has also been renovated and made functional for public convenience.
Altogether 3 Tata Hopper Tipper were procured for distribution to 3 Town committees namely, Karong-Senapati, Maram and Tadubi for waste collection and disposal, the ADC Chairman said adding that one 4x4 (FWD) Mortuary Van had also been procured in collaboration with Airport Authority of India (AAI) for use at the District Hospital, Senapati.
