JNV Khumbong aspirant faces brunt of negligence

In an act of carelessness and lack of sensitivity, an invigilator of Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance test centre shut the door of opportunity to a young student who aspired to join the school.
The incident happened during the just concluded entrance examination to class VI of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Khumbong at TG Higher Secondary School as the Centre.
According to sources, a student that applied for English as medium of examination was issued a question paper printed in Meetei Mayek.
When the mistake was brought to the notice of the invigilator by the student, the invigilator assured to rectify same but asked the student to wait and left the room, alleged the source.
To the astonishment of the student, the mistake was not corrected till the end of the exam leaving the young student in a state of shock.
And to add insult to injury, the student was served with an answer sheet in Manipuri (Bengali) script, alleged the source.
Parents of the student has also disapproved of the condemnable act of the invigilator.
