Meeting discusses deplorable conditions of CHC Heirok

Imphal, August 16 2020:
To exchange views about the lack of staff and infrastructures at CHC Heirok, Ningol Club and ASHA workers based in Heirok jointly convened a meeting today at the former's temporary office.
At the meeting, MO, CHC Heirok, Dr Yengkhom Nokul stated that insufficiency surrounds Heirok's community health centre, today.
At least one gynaecologist, a paediatrician and a general surgeon should be posted at the CHC, he said adding that CHC, Heirok is almost identical to a dispensary.
Saying that there is also no Ultrasound facility at the centre, Dr Y Nokul urged the State Government to look into the matter at the earliest.
The doctor further appealed to the State Government to construct a new building for the CHC.
On the other hand, president of Ningol Club, Khundongbam Sophiya asked the State Government to make the Rapid Antigen Test facility available at CHC, Heirok.
CADA president Hijam Priyokumar, M Usharani, CHC Heirok, A/F also attended the programme.
