Together with six ex-MLAs who resigned from Congress party and the Manipur Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister N Biren left Imphal for Delhi this afternoon.
Well placed sources informed that the Chief Minister and the six-MLAs may hold meetings with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other BJP Central leaders and they may talk about the forthcoming by-election to 13 Assembly seats in the State.
The six MLAs who left for Delhi today with N Biren are Md Abdul Nasir (Lilong AC), Ginsuanhau (Singngat AC), O Lukhoi (Wangoi AC), Ngamthang Haokip (Saitu), P Brojen (Wangjing-Tentha AC) and O Henry (Wangkhei AC) .

Speaking to media persons at Imphal airport before boarding a Spice Jet flight to Delhi this afternoon, O Lukhoi said that they were going to Delhi at the invitation of the Chief Minister.
He said that they have no idea about which Central BJP leaders they would meet and there was no definite agenda behind their trip to Delhi.
Nonetheless, Lukhoi expressed firm belief that their trip to Delhi would be a big impetus to the political careers of all six ex-MLAs including himself.
"We have not yet joined BJP but the matter would definitely take a concrete shape after our return from Delhi", Lukhoi said.
O Henry too expressed similar opinions.
However, Chief Minister N Biren and the other four ex-MLAs gave any chance to media persons to raise any query.
Nonetheless, sources informed that Chief Minister N Biren and the six ex-MLAs may discuss about their strategy for the forthcoming by-election together with some key BJP Central leaders including BJP National president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The Chief Minister may even raise a proposal to the BJP Central leaders about effecting a major Cabinet reshuffle before the by-election and induct two of the six Congress ex-MLAs into the Council of Ministers.
Another source informed that Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo was in the same flight in which Chief Minister N Biren and the six ex-MLAs left Imphal for Delhi.
Biren may also suggest the BJP Central leaders to give BJP tickets to the six defectors from Congress for the forthcoming by-election.
Interestingly Congress MLA RK Imo too left for New Delhi today.
Speaking to media persons at the airport, RK Imo maintained that his trip to Delhi was a personal business and did not have any political agenda.
