'Man found hung to death with hands tied behind back'

Bishnupur, August 16 2020:
A 22 years old man was found suspiciously hung to death near Loktak project Nigthoukhong Awang Khunou canal under Bishnupur Police Station, yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as Laishram Angamba, S/o Laishram Biren.
He stayed in a rented room at Ningthoukhong Ward no 14.As per police, the lifeless body was found by one Laishram Ingo with hands tied behind back, an injury mark on his left eye and bloodstains on his shirt.
His chappal was also picked up far from the site where he was found hanging.
His pant was found on a thicket of aquatic plants.
On the other hand, a sit-in protest was staged today at Ningthoukhong Ward no 14, demanding the authority concerned to arrest the 'killer (s)' .
A committee christened as JAC against the brutal killing of Late Laishram Angamba Singh was formed, with Th Noreh as its convenor.
Speaking to media persons, the convenor demanded that the person (s) involved in the 'killing' should be arrested within 5 days.
"We will claim the body and perform last rites, however, our demand should be entertained within the stipulated time", he said, adding that they, along with the public, will launch intense agitation if the Government sidelines their demand.
The father of the deceased, Laishram Biren said that he will not object to any decisions the JAC takes.
During the protest demonstration, placards that read, "Arrest the killers", "We want justice" etc were used.
United Women Development Organisation (UWDO) Bishnupur also demanded justice for Late Laishram Angamba.
A press release signed by the secretary of UWDO, RK Tombisana claimed that case is not of suicide but murder.
