Missing school girl: March 25 deadline set for safe release

A joint meeting of All Zeliangrong Students' Union, (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland), Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) and Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur, which was also attended by Chingphu Villagers has decided to start agitation including indefinite bandh in Zeliangrong inhabited areas from March 26 if the missing school girl Alice Kamei (14) is not release by her abductors by March 25 .
The joint meeting was held today at Majorkhul Community Hall, Imphal West.
The meeting after minutely deliberating on missing of Baby Alice Kamei aged 14 years, Class IX reading at Grace Reach Academy, from her School hostel, Hiyanglam, Thoubal district of Manipur from March 10 .
The meeting resolved to entrust All Zeliangrong Students' Union (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland), Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) and Zeliangrong Students' Union to work for finding out the whereabouts of the missing girl and her safe rescue.
"Any unwanted incident occur out of action taken from any social organization or civil society or individual without the knowledge of All Zeliangrong Students' Union (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland), Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) and Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur shall risk by themselves," the resolution said.
It then said the state Government of Manipur and the alleged armed organization RPF/PLA or individuals are asked to secure to release and safely restore Baby Alice Kamei back to her parents without any condition on or before March 25 .
'On failing to receive positive response, series of agitations such as sit-in-protest from March 26, indefinite general strike in Zeliangrong inhabited areas in Manipur including National Highways No.2 and 37, general strike from mid-nights of 27th March, 2013 including national and international campaignS against the Government," the meeting resolved.
It also said the Government of Manipur should conduct impartial, thorough investigation on Grace Reach Academy and Hostel and report should be made known on or before March 25 .
"The Authority of Grace Reach Academy and Hostel from Baby Alice Kamei gone missing are intimated to take all necessary measures to find the whereabouts or rescuing of Baby Alice and safely restore to her parent on or before 25th March 2013.On non-fulfilling the school shall remain close until the whereabouts of the Baby Alice Kamei is known and safely restored to her parent.
"Students, teaching and non-teaching staffs of Grace Reach Academy and Hostel are asked to extend full and sincere cooperation which may launch a series of measures by the Zeliangrong Students' Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland), Zeliangrong Youth Front ( Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) and Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur for the rescue and safe return of Baby Alice Kamei," the meeting of the Zeliangrong organisations resolved.
