Sit-in-protest continues as blockade chokes lives in Manipur

Even as the ongoing economic blockade under the banner of UNC continues to choke the lives of innocent people of the state, the Protection and Preservation Committee, Kangleipak in association with various civil society organisations continue to organise sit in protest demanding price regulation and proper availability of the essential commodities.
As part of its series of protest, the committee today organised sit in protest at Kongba Keithel.
The protest was organised in association with Kangleipak Ningol Yaipha Lamjing Apunba Lup and Kongba Nandeibam Leikai Nupi Lup.
Speaking to reporters, Convener, Protection and Preservation Committee, P Tamphatombi said that people of the state are facing many untold miseries due to the ongoing economic blockade.
Even as the blockade is choking the lives of lakhs of people for more than three months, the government is not doing anything distinctive to bring the blockade to an end, she alleged.
She further said that the government should to their utmost to break the blockade at the earliest to give the people some relief.
