The vehicle was to be used for duty from 3pm of May 6 by another driver.
He pointed out that the vehicle was taken away by the two personnel taking advantage of the off hour on the pretext of checking the temperature of the vehicle without informing anyone while asserting that neither other police personnel nor police officers have been involved in the matter.

The SP further said that an enquiry will be conducted against the two cops under 'Internal Control System' (ICS).
Meanwhile, two of Megha's drug addict friends as well as his neighbour called 'Sanathoi' and Shantikumar, were said to have passed wrong information about Megha which led to his arrest, according to information received by the press.
Megha was lodged at the resident of ex-MP Holkhomang at Haokip Veng by the two personnel on the day who was later apprehended by the AR, it added.
Megha, mention may be made was handed over to the Imphal police station yesterday evening by authority of Assam Rifles stating that he was a PLA cadre and apprehended from Moreh by them.
