Imphal, February 19:
In yet another goof up that has become a characteristic feature of the State Government in implementing its policy, the name of an aided teacher has been found among the list of teachers under School Education Department who have been transferred and posted at various schools under the rationalisation policy.
The latest goof-up comes close on the heels of the report of alleged inclusion of a teacher who is no more alive in the list of the teachers whose transfer and posting were effected recently.
A top official of the Education Department on condition of anonymity disclosed that the inclusion of the name of the aided teacher came to light during the course of investigation into the alleged inclusion of another teacher, who has passed away, in the list of teachers for rationalisation.
The official, however, did not disclose the name of the aided teacher.
While admitting that the transfer and posting of over 100 teachers have not been done strictly according to the rules, the official assured that these and many other mistakes would be rectified in due course of time.
