Out of 22 states that have confirmed participation in the 13th Senior Women's National Football Championship starting at Imphal from February 20, 11 arrived today.
Those States reporting arrival today are Meghalaya, Tripura, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Uttranchal, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh.
The remaining States are reported to be on their way for the championship scheduled to be held at four different venues.
In the lung opener tomorrow, Delhi will face Meghalaya at Mapal Kangjeibung.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Football Association has released names of State players selected to defend the championship title, which Manipur had won for an unprecedented 10 times while featuring in the finals in all the editions.
The opening ceremony of the championship to be hosted by Manipur since the first edition in 1992 will be held with Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh as the chief guest.
Works Minister Th Debendra will grace the occasion as the functional president while Health Minister L Nandakumar and Power Minister Gaikhangam would be the guests of honour.
Former international L Chaoba Devi of Manipur has been appointed as one of the two spotters for the championship by India�s football governing body All India Football Federation.
The final match is slated for March 7.
