Some of the damaged portion along National Highway 39 at near Mao gate have been repaired enabling movement of light and empty heavy motor vehicles from yesterday evening.
With active collaboration of the Mao residents, the GREF personnel have been able to partially repair some of the damaged portions, according to Mao police station source.
While empty buses and trucks from Manipur side were allowed to pass through the affected area, passengers of tourist buses coming from Dimapur side have to alight to cross the site.
Nevertheless, 14 LPG loaded trucks were allowed passage amid tight vigil by GREF personnel who are also taking appropriate measures to prevent landslips at other places of Mao area, said the source.
About 250 goods laden trucks are still stranded on the other side of Mao, it added.
