AJUCA helps in loading, unloading rice

As a gesture of goodwill, about 45 volunteers of All Jiribam United Clubs Association (AJUCA), Jiribam extended help in loading and unloading rice brought by a freight train from different States for distribution across 16 districts in Manipur at Jiribam Railway Station, today.
The helping hands were extended by the AJUCA's volunteers, considering that there was a shortage of labourers due to the Nationwide lockdown imposed in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to media persons, AJUCA president, Motum Maipaksana said that the rice brought from different State as per Government initiative for distribution in the State were struck in Jiribam Railway Station due to unavailability of labourers.
"To ease the burden of the Government to some extent, AJUCA decided to help in unloading the goods from the freight train and later, loaded it to the respective rice rakes for distribution in the State", he added.
