Imphal, February 06 2010:
The proscribed KCP-MC has condoled the death of its two KFL cadresAheibam Tayai Meitei alias Naobi (38) s/o A Achouba of Khurai Sajor Leikai and Laishram Boby alias Naobi (28) s/o L Chaoba of Nongren Mamang Leikai.
The two KCP-MC cadres were killed in a reported encounter with Imphal East commandos at Kamuching under Lamlai police station last night.
However, a press release issued by the KCP-MC's military affairs secretary Lanheiba Meitei contended that Tayai and Boby were apprehended by a team of Imphal East commandos from Khurai Heikru Makhong at about 2.10 pm yesterday.
Even as the outfit tried hard to save the two cadres, the KFLs realised that they could not save their comrades when they saw a combined team of Imphal East commandos and troops of Assam Rifles heading towards Kamuching at about 6 pm.
Tayai and Boby were discharged from a private hospital only about a week ago where they were treated for some illness.
The valour shown by the duo till their last thereby saving the lives of many fellow comrades has demonstrated that there are many KFLs committed to the liberation movement.
Alleging that police commandos have slain many UG cadres in fake encounters, the outfit stated that the commandos can be taught a befitting lesson only after the Ibobi Government is replaced by a popular Government.
It further asserted that it's time for all UG outfits to pay special attention to the activities of police commandos.
Saying that there it still time for commandos to mend their ways, the outfit hinted that they would hit back in case the commandos fail to pay heed.
