FOB organises special outreach programme

A one-day special outreach programme on Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) was organised at SK Women's College, Nambol, Bishnupur District by the Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, said FOB in a press note, today.
Dr N Joykumar Singh, Principal, SK Women's College, Nambol, presided the programme while Dr Robindro, Nodal Officer, Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan and Dr I Dinamani, Singh NSS Programme Officer of SK Women's College, Nambol, Bishnupur District were the resource persons.
During the programme, the college authorities informed that the college has conducted video conference with Government Geetanjali Girl's College, Bhopal and Government Sorojini Naidu Girl's College, Bhopal for student exchange programmes under EBSB, it said adding that the broad objectives and key activities between the paired States under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat were thoroughly discussed during the interaction programme with the students.
As part of the programme, a quiz contest was also conducted and prizes along with certificates were distributed, it added.
A similar programme was also held at Thoubal College, Thoubal district, yesterday.
Meanwhile, a week-long programme on Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat also began at Don Bosco Maram, Senapati.
The Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme aimed to actively enhance interaction between people of diverse cultures living in different States and UTs in India.
As per guidelines of the programme, the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat club of Don Bosco College Maram organised various activities in collaboration with NSS units of the college.
Essay writing competition on the theme 'Empower youth, empower Nation' was conducted.
Sir John Britto, Coordinator of EBSB presented a lecture on history, background and culture of Madhya Pradesh.
Besides, Sr Sweta William Parmar, the NSS PO of Unit 1 took up a session where she taught the students a few sentences in Hindi.
