Committee inspects Jiribam Railway Station, quarantine centres

Jiribam, May 30 2020:
A team of Joint Committee for Public Awareness on COVID-19 have inspected the prevailing conditions of Jiribam Railway Station and quarantine centres being opened at Jiri College and RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, today.
The committee had earlier spread awareness on COVID-19 in villages situated along National Highway 37.They reached Jiribam late night on Friday and had a meeting with CSOs' leaders of the district.
Jitendra Ningomba , a member of the committee, assured that they will report the good hospitality shown to those returning from different States by the officials and CSOs' volunteers posted in Jiribam Railway Station to the State Government.
He also assured to apprise the State Government about the lack of ambulance and different facilities in the district.
Expressing disappointment over the local MLA for allegedly remaining mum at this time of crisis, he urged the MLA to look after the COVID-19 related works carrying out by CSOs, medical staff and district administration in Jiribam.
Later, the committee also spread COVID awareness in Tatbung village, Tamenglong.
