GAZ - House of Solution constructs library rooms using Malaysian technology

Using Malaysian lightweight concrete affordable (housing) technology for the first time in Manipur, GAZ - House of Solution started constructing two library rooms of Naorem Birahari College Makha Leikai, which is time and cost-effective, and theproject is nearing completion.
Speaking to The Sangai Express at the construction site, proprietor of GAZ - House of Solution whose office is situated at Khurai Thangjam Leikai, Chongtham Budhimanta said that he started searching for a way to construct houses which is less time and money consuming in Google considering that Manipur is a poor State.
Saying that he came across the Malaysian technology and thereby went to the country to obtain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the technology in October 2019, Budhimanta maintained that main materials (fibre and foam) required for the construction are imported from China and Malaysia.
In this type of construction, cement, sand, water, fibres and foam (liquid) are used, he added.
Saying that the project at Naorem Birahari College started about 10 days back and about 80 percent of the work is completed, he added.
It takes about 15-20 days in building a house having two rooms.
As per experts from Malaysia, houses constructed using this technology can support up to 10 floors and in term of durability it is comparable to those houses constructed with bricks, he said and maintained that the technology is widely practised in Malaysia.
He also said that houses constructed using this lightweight concrete affordable (housing) technology are soundproof and more cost-effective than houses that are walled by bricks.
Continuing that the company has received about 40 work orders till date, Budhimanta added that this new style of construction will greatly benefit the poor populace.
The company has requisite raw materials to construct at least 100 houses, he said.
Born to Ch Kunjababu and Ch (o) Premila of Khurai Angom Leikai, Chongtham Budhimanta studied up to graduation level.
The company is named after the only daughter of Budhimanta, Chongtham Gazmita.
