Non-Congress leaders to meet ECI officials today
Sit-in protest to press resolution of issue over bogus votes

Even as the leaders of 10 non-Congress political parties of the state who left for Delhi today are expected to meet the officials of Election Commission of India (ECI) tomorrow, political workers and other functionaries of these parties would stage a sit-in-protest demonstration at Keishampat Junction here tomorrow to press ECI for resolution of the issue over bogus votes.
Leaders of the 10 non-Congress political parties who left Imphal for Delhi today included Radhabinod Koijam, President, NCP, Manipur unit; Dr Nimaichand Luwang, President, Manipur People's Party (MPP); Dr M Nara, Secretary, CPI, Manipur State Council; Ksh Shantakumar, Member, Central Committee, CPI (M); Debabratta, Working President, MSCP; Kim Gangte, State President, Trinamool Congress; Shantikumar Sharma, State President BJP, Ajang Khongsai, General Secretary, NPP and M Tombi, State President, JD-U .
The team left for Delhi at around 5pm today.
Upon reaching the National capital, the team would meet the officials of the ECI and pressed for rejecting the bogus votes and misused ballot papers at the time of counting the votes.
It is said that the Central leaders of Trinamool Congress, NCP, JD-U, CPI and CPI (M) would also be present during the meeting.
The team would also prevail upon ECI to come out with a definite decision over the issue so as to leave no room for any confusion before going ahead with counting of the votes.
Meanwhile, workers and other chief functionaries of these 10 non-political parties would stage a sit-in protest demonstration at Keishampat Junction here today over the same issue.
