Imoinu and Gaan-Ngai greetings pour in

Imphal, January 20 2016:
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Manipur People's Party (MPP), South East Asia Cultural Organisation (SEACO), HERICOUN, and Malem Leishemkol, Kangla have extended Imoinu Irat Thouni and Gaan-Ngai greetings to the people of Manipur which fall on January 21 and 22 respectively.
MPCC president Gaikhangam in his message said that Imoinu Irat Thouni and Gaan-Ngai festival will usher in peace, universal bonding and all-round development of the State and wished the people of Manipur particularly the
Meetei and Zeliangrong community a very happy and glorious Imoinu and Gaan-Ngai festival.
Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Th Lokeshwor Singh has also extended Gaan-Ngai greetings and said that the festival epitomises the giving of respect to elders and upholding age-old cultural traditions and one can learn a lot from it.
Manipur People's Party (MPP) also extended Imoinu and Gaan-Ngai greetings to the people of Manipur and wished that Almighty will bless the people and bring unity among the different communities of the State.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba and general secretary Asnikumar also extended Imoinu and Gaan-Ngai greetings to the people of Manipur especially the Meetei and Kabui brethen and wished that the two festivals will usher in peaceful coexistence, peace, love and all-round develop-mentofthe State.
South East Asia Cultural Organisation (SEACO) said that like any other community worshipping Goddess of Wealth, Meeteis also worship and Imoinu is observed to seek blessings of Goddess of Wealth.
Malem Leishemkol also extended Imoinu greetings which falls on January 21 .
HERICOUN has extended Gaan-Ngai and Imoinu greetings to the people of the State particularly the Kabui and Meetei community and wished that the coming of the festival will bring peace, love and greater bonding among different communities of the State.
