Dimapur, July 18 2016:
The NSCN-IM has accused the Assam
Rifles of kidnapping one of its officials in Nagaland.
According to
the NSCN-IM, the abduction incident happened today.
Strongly condemning the act, the NSCN-IM in a press
statement accused that the 5 Assam Riffles abducted Aloto A
Sumi who is holding the rank of "Razau Peyu" of the outfit.
The NSCN-IM official is a son of one Ahoto Sumi from
Aotsakilimi village under Zunheboto district of Nagaland.
"It is very strange on the part of 5th Assam Rifles to let
him forcibly signed as having belong to NSCN Khaplang.
It
may be noted that this is the fourth such incident where NSCN
cadres were abducted by 5 Assam Riffles and forcibly made
to sign as belonging to Khaplang," the statement alleged.
The NSCN-IM press release then said that it can no longer
tolerate such provocations and humiliations devoid of ceasefire
agreed ground rules.
The NSCN-IM then demanded the 5
Assam Rifles to immediately release Aloto A Sumi.
