Cops pull up two suspects

Imphal, April 18 2013:
Two accused in the murder case of Md Abdul Hakim of Lilong Turel Ahanbi, Thoubal district have been pulled up by Lilong Police.
Speaking to media persons this afternoon, Lilong PS OC Inspector SM Hussain Ahmad informed that the two accused were pulled up from different places in the course of investigation carried under instruction from SDPO Meghachandra.
One double-barrel shotgun has also been recovered.
The apprehended accused have been identified as Md Wahid alias Boboi alias Lara (25) s/o Md Sirajuddin of Lilong Haoreibi Mayai Leikai and Md Salim Khan (33) s/o Abdul Helim of Lilong Dam Maning.
Wahid was pulled up on April 12 whereas Salim was apprehended on April 7.Both of them are currently in police custody and further investigation is on, said OC Hussain Ahmad.
Abdul Hakim was shot dead by some unidentified persons in the wee hours of December 24 last year.
Although some accused of the murder case were pulled up by police earlier, Md Abash Khan (31) who is suspected to be the prime accused escaped from JNIMS security ward on December 22 and killed Abdul Hakim on December 24 .
Later, Abash Khan on whose head a reward of Rs 50,000 was announced, was apprehended from West Delhi by a combined team of Imphal East District Police and Delhi Police on February 14 this year.
