Lamka, May 29 2014:
A week after the CDSU seized several files from the Zonal Education Office here and threatened to set them aflame over the Government's rationalization exercise, the union has again confiscated another set of files today from the same office saying they would take the extreme step if nothing positive emerged by Monday next.
The union had in protest against the Government decision to transfer hundreds of teachers from the district alongside their post, seized crucial files from the ZEO office and the offices of ten other schools sometime last week.
They alleged that the government's exercise will seal the fate of few performing Government run schools here.
As the transfer also involves a good number of science and mathematics teachers, the sole intentions of the Government is nothing but an attempt to do away with all Government sponsored education system in the district, the CDSU justified.
With hundreds of files now in their custody, the CDSU has today said they will wait for the Government's response till June 2.If nothing positive emerges by that time the CDSU will be constrained to intensify their stir and will have to burn the files, it said.
