After two cadres of URF were found mur-dered and buried inside their Loitang Khunou spinning mill designated camp yesterday, people of Loitang Khunou today raised strong objection against presence of the desig-nated camp in the locality.
A large number of womenfolk today staged a protest demonstration which was followed by a protest rally.
The protesters belong to Loitang Khunou, Loitang Khullen, Loitang Sandum, Senjam Khunou, Senjam Chi-rang, Moibung Khunou, Ma- yanglangjing, Khurkhul and Phumlou.
Former Minister Ning-thoujam Biren was also present among the protesters.
The protesters said that tranquillity of the area has been put under constant threat since the URF's designated camp was opened.
They maintained that neither URF nor Army/Assam Rifles should be given accommodation within the spinning mill complex.
Later, the protesters took out a protest rally from the spinning mill to Khurkhul.
