Imphal, May 29 2014:
Deputy Chief Minister and Home Mi-nister Gaikhangam has con- demned in the strongest term the act of triggering bomb blast at Singjamei Chingamakhong which resulted in fatal ca-sualties this afternoon.
Speaking to media persons after the bomb blast, Gaikha-ngam asserted that it is time to give up bomb and gun culture.
Triggering bomb blast would not bring anything po-sitive except causing misery and casualties to fellow citizens.
Acting as couriers of explosives and planting explo- sives at busy places for some money are senseless acts.
All sensible citizens ought to condemn such acts of violence, stated the Home Minister.
He also conveyed solidarity to all the dead and wounded victims of the blast.
Regarding the murder of two URF cadres and burial of their bodies inside their designated camp, Gaikhangam said that the matter is being examined minutely so as to take up necessary action.
The two cadres were buried and the top surface was covered with an RCC layer.
Above the RCC layer were kept ration items so that the secret murder could not be detected.
For they have committed a criminal act in spite of being under SoO pact, necessary legal action should be initiated, Gaikhangam added.
