Dining, kitchen hall inaugurated

Continuing with its voluntary works, the Rotary International inaugurated a dining cum kitchen hall of Kalyan Ashram Boy's Hostel at Kakching Sumak Leikai, Thoubal, today.
Addressing the inauguration function, district governor, Rotary International District 3240, Rintu Guha Niyogi said maximum priority is given to the children and younger generations as the larger portion of Indian are youths.
Keeping children and younger generations healthy is a must as they are the future of tomorrow, Rintu Guha stated.
The district governor urged the president of Rotary Club Imphal to attach a wash basin with the dining hall for the convenience of the students.
The dining hall cum kitchen was constructed by the Rotary Club of Imphal.
The Rotary Club, Imphal, also donated two computer sets for the hostel boys during the inaugural function.
President of Rotary Club of Imphal L Manoranjan Singh attended as the guest of honour of the inaugural programme while president of Kalyam Ashram Manipur Ng Tejkumar Singh was the functional president.
Meanwhile, prizes for the painting competition held on September 25 was distributed at Rotary Bhavan, Mantripukhri, today.
In category-A Ningthoujam Malemnganbi of Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Thongam Sidhujit Singh of Universal Students Academy and Athokpam Roger Singh of Mega Manipur School received the first, second and third prize respectively.
In category-B, Khaidem Kristina of DAV Public School, Naoroibam Luckyson Singh of Twinkle Star Academy and Tanushree Konsam of Nirmalabas High School received the first, second and third prize respectively.
And in category-C N Regan Singh of Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Malemnganba Waikhom of Shishu Nistha Niketan and Sobina Soibam of Maria Montessori Senior Secondary School received the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Rintu Guha Niyogi, assistant governor Zone IX Rotary International District 3240 Akokla P Lucy, L Manoranjan Singh, secretary Ph Sarat and president of Rotary Club of Polo City S Sachhidanand.
