Ram Muivah visits MU campus

Ram Muivah, Secretary, North East Council (NEC) visited Manipur University to inspect construction projects in the campus.
Ram Muivah was accorded warm welcome by MU Vice Chancellor Prof Adya Prasad Pandey in the presence of Prof N Lokendra Singh, Dean, School of Social Sciences, Prof GA Santibala Devi, Dean, School of Life Sciences, Prof M Mani Meitei, Dean, School of Humanities, Prof N Rajmuhon Singh, Dean, School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Prof S Ibotombi Singh and Prof M Shyamkesho Singh, Registrar, Manipur University and S Rajen Singh, University Engineer.
Ram Muivah inspected the progress of the ongoing construction works of 50 bedded International Ladies' Hostel and 50 bedded International Gents' Hostel.
Prof M Shyamkesho Singh, Registrar, Manipur University submitted a charter of project proposals for the University to Muivah.
Deans of various schools also requested Ram Muivah to provide financial assistance to undertake new projects for improving the infrastructure and also for initiating other developmental works such as construction of auditorium, multipurpose hall, ground water reservoir, outdoor stadium, law, fine arts music building, improvements of link roads inside the campus, construction of Outdoor Stadium, provision of 100 KW solar lighting system for 10 major buildings, extension of library building, improvement of boundary walls, drinking water facility and development of water bodies support.
Muivah assured to take up all possible steps to ensure necessary steps are take up to improve and develop MU campus.
