Workshop on digital payment held

In an attempt to promote digital payment systems and cashless transaction, a one-day workshop on digital payment systems was organized by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Imphal, Senapati Extension Centre with the theme 'Go Cashless, Go Digital' today in the premises of Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) head office, Moirangkhom, Imphal.
Director (IPR) Meghachan dra Kongbam, Deputy Director (IPR) Ch Noyon Singh and Scientist-C, NIELIT, Imphal, Senapati Extension, Monita Wahengbam attended the programme as presidium members.
Scientist-C, NIELIT, Imphal, Senapati Extension, Monita Wahengbam and Senior Technical Assistant, NIELIT, Imphal Senapati Extension G Nilamas Sharma dwelt at length on digital financial options available to the people.
They also sensitized the participants on different cashless modes of payment such as Aadhaar Enabled Payment systems (AEPS), Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD), Unified Payment Interface (UPI), e-Wallet and Cards/POS.
Interaction and demonstrations on the various modes of digital payment systems marked the workshop which was also attended by officers and staff of DIPR.
