RPF condoles

The proscribed RPF has condoled the demise of executive committee member and PLA's assistant chief of army staff (special warfare) Lt Col Pishak (real name Khundongbam Rameshore) s/o late Kh Ningthemjao and late Kh (O) Amu of Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi, Thokchom Leikai.
According to a press release issued by the outfit's publicity secretary Roben Khuman, Lt Col Pishak expired at around 9.30 pm of January 4 .
He joined RPF in 1986. After completion of basic military training, he became a full fledged PLA fighter and took part in many military campaigns against Indian military forces.
He went on to become commander of PLA's several mobile battalions and the Special Force.
He was appointed the party's executive member by the second and fourth congress held in 2008 and 2016 respectively.
Lt Col Pishak was sincere, well-disciplined, persevering, valiant, laborious, knowledgeable in different fields and he always worked relentlessly to upgrade the military capacity of the PLA.
He was dedicated to the cause of the motherland and the party, and he yearned for freedom.
RPF/PLA has condoled the sudden demise of Lt Col Pishak at all its units, departments and stations, it said.
It further conveyed solidarity to the bereaved family, relatives and friends.
