Lions Club reaches out to Langol Old Age Home

The members of Lions Club of Imphal Valley under the aegis of Lions Club International District-322 D organised the project 'Service from the Heart' in honour of the official visit of District Governor, Lion Rima Sarmah Barua, MJF on December 22.As a part of the programme, warm clothes and eatables were distributed to the inmates of Langol Old Age Home at Langol, said a press release by the Lions Club of Imphal Valley.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Governor expressed gratitude to the Club for organising such a programme.
She also donated a sum of Rs 5000 to the Old Age Home on the occasion.
Later, she graced the official function held at Hotel Anand Continental which was also attended by Vice District Governor I, Lion Dr W Gopimohon Singh and other district cabinet members.
The District Governor also held a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Club and stressed on the need of Lionistic activities to serve the society in need through Lionistic projects namely Hunger, Vision, Diabetes, Environment, Paediatric Cancer, added the press release.
