Series of training prog on fish & sea food processing starts

The D M Community College at Dhanamanjuri University, Imphal in association with the Unique Trust and Food Industry Capacity & Skill Initiatives (FICSI), New Delhi launched a series of 12 hours (i.e.3 days at 4 hours per day per batch) training programmes on "Job role: Fish & sea food processing technician under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Recognition to Prior Learning (RPL) phase � 1 of the Skill India Mission".
The programme was launched by the Controller of Examinations Dhanamanjuri University Dr Asem Nabachandra as the chief guest while Nodal Officer of DMC and Director DDU Centre for KAUSHAL Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh presided over the function.
Dr Nabachandra, while giving his speech, urged the educated unemployed youth, drop outs and other people including retired employees to join many training courses so as to acquire and upgrade the skills of processing fish and sea food items and in turn enhance the economy of the State.
A stipend of Rs 500/- per trainee along with qualifying certificates issued by FICSI will be awarded to those who are successfully qualified in the assessment conducted under FICSI at the end of every three days of training.
No fee is charged for joining the training and no age bar, it added.
Those who have passed class VIII, attained the age of 18 years and are willing to join the work force in the fish and sea food processing sub-sector for their livelihood can apply along with a valid Bank passbook, Adhaar Card and other testimonials at any day during the said training period.
