Imphal, July 01 2016 :
Affirming to uphold the boycott on all tribal MLAs, the JAC against Anti-Tribal Bills, in a statement, said it would oppose the entry of boycotted tribal MLAs into tribal territories.
The JAC statement comes in the backdrop of the Chavang Kut 2015 committee inviting Ginsuanhau, MLA of 60-Singngat AC, to grace its 'Chavang Kut 2015 report' release programme at M Songgel in 'Southern Outer Manipur' on July 2 as the chief guest.
The JAC reminded the Committee that Ginsuanhau is one among the tribal MLAs boycotted by the tribal people in Manipur through the JAC on Sept 12, 2015 for having betrayed their fellow tribals by being willing signatories to the three 'anti-tribal' Bills, placing the future of the tribals- their rights, land and identity, into the hands of the 'communal' Manipur Govt. The JAC said it will not be held responsible for any untoward incident arising out of the situation.
And no one should construe it as an exercise with communal undertones.
