The first Zeliangrong Interim Body meeting was held on November 18 at Lungwiram, Dimapur, attended by nine members out of 11 from three States of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.
The opening prayer for the meeting was led by Rev N Palmei, ex-president of Zeliangrong Union (AMN) and the president as Pou G Gaingam, ex-president of Zeliangrong Union (AMN) cum convenor of Zeliangrong Interim Body.
During the meeting the members adopted resolutions for better functioning of administration for the organization.
The first resolution stated the appointment of 13 office bearers where G Gaingam was appointed as the president and CR Zeliang as vice-president, ZIB (AMN).
It also stated that ZIB will collect contribution of 50,000 from the Zeliangrong ministers and 25,000 from MLAs for working expenses of the organization.
The resolution also stated that any cases/disputes will be settled by the judges within their respective state and also resolved the president ZIB (AMN), as the chief justice.
The resolution further stated to all the existing organizations like Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF), Zeliangrong Students Union (ZSU), Zeliangrong Unity Park Construction Committee, KNAPT Board to be continued functioning under the aegis of Zeliangrong Interim Body.
The resolution also included that the ZIB will represent Naga Hoho, UNC, Tynemi and others till the regular election is held.
The members also decided and resolved that the next sitting of Zeliangrong Interim Body will held on January 15, 2010 at 7 a.m.at Zeliangrong Union Building, Paona Bazar, Imphal, Manipur.
