The annual plan size of the State for the next fiscal year 2010-2011 is due to be finalised between Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and Deputy Chairman of Union Planning Commission during a meeting on January 31 next year.
Accordingly, the State Government would be submitting its plan proposal to the Planning Commission on November 30 .
Disclosing this, an official source informed that in view of finalising the plan size of the State for the next fiscal year during a proposed meeting between Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and Deputy Chairman of Union Planning Commission at New Delhi on January 31 next year, the State Planning Department has sought submission of plan proposals from all the Departments.
In connection with finalising the plan size of the State, the working group discussion of the State and Planning Commission officials is also likely to be convened sometime between December 1 and January 7 next year.
Meanwhile, an office memorandum issued by the Chief Secretary has noted that with exception to PHE, Sports, Economics & Statistics, Government Press, Motor Vehicle and Employment, the rest of the Departments have not yet submitted their plan proposals to Planning Department.
The office memorandum also made it clear that if no plan proposal is not forthcoming by November 25, it would be assumed that the Departments concerned have no plan proposals.
