Imphal, November 25 2015: In the mean time, there is also need for people's democratic movement towards resolving the Manipur-India conflict, UNLF Central Committee said.

Although, UNLF on behalf of the people of Manipur had proposed the Government of India to conduct a plebiscite regarding the matter in January 2005, the latter is yet to respond to this proposal.

Saying that it is obvious to experience ups and downs in every revolutionary movement, the Central Committee conceded that UNLF is also currently experiencing a slight down motion in its revolutionary struggle.

Recalling Mao Zedong's ideology - right mass line, right policy and right leadership, the Central Committee said that every revolutionary understands that revelationists distance themselves from the masses if they fail to maintain a good rapport with them.

However, people must understand that the Government of India is appeasing the people of Manipur by pumping huge amount of development funds due to the current revolutionary movement.

It is also the revolutionary struggle that checks anti-social elements, the Central Committee claimed.

Declaring that UNLF would continue its armed struggle to achieve its goal by working together with like minded organisations of WESEA, the Central Committee said that UNLF would put in further effort to impart awareness on the principles of the outfit.

UNLF has been putting in sincere effort to create an atmosphere where people of Naga, Kuki and Meitei etc live together and help each other in Manipur, and the same would continue in future as well.

It is a fact that no ethnic community of Manipur would be able to survive under the rule of India, the Central Committee observed.

At this point of time, people would certainly questioned what they have achieved from the 50 years of armed struggle other than the lost of lives.

Although 50 years is a long period, people must also admit that Manipur is a land where people of more than 30 different communities are residing.

Differences among these communities are there and these contradictions are aggravating to a great extent at this point of time, the Central Committee observed.

It added that UNLF had already told to the masses that the current armed struggle would pass on from the current generation to the next generation as it would take time and experience numerous ups and downs.

The mass uprisings of the people of Manipur against the 'oppressions' of Indian security forces have now become an inspiration to the people of WESEA nations.

Among these movements, Nura Temshingnabi Irom Chanu Sharmila's agitation has become a hugely loud voice that has been listened by the people of the whole world.

It is so important to deliberate on the stand and thought of the current generation of digital age about the current revolutionary movement.

Saying that the new generation has less knowledge about the history and geography of Manipur and their minds are probably occupied by the capitalist globalization policy of India.

As such, they might be fully inclined towards becoming an IT, MBA or similar professions.

However, they must not remain ignorant about the condition as they are the generation who would decide the future of Manipur, the Central Committee observed.

Saying that it is the right and goal of the people of Manipur to maintain mutual interdependence among different communities, the Central Committee urged the masses to fight for this right and goal collectively.

On the 51st raising day of UNLF, the Central Committee extended best wishes to the citizens of Manipur, people of WESEA nations, Kashmir, CorCom members and Indian Maoists, who have been reeling under different forms of oppression.

The Central Committee also showed respect to all the martyrs who have laid down their lives and soldiers who have become differently abled in the armed struggle on the day.
