Imphal, August 22 2014 :
Maintaining that it does not have any confidence in the newly constituted forum of political parties on leading to any positive conclusion regarding the issue of ILPS implementation, Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) has said that it will continue its ongoing agitation with the support from the general public.
In a press statement, JCILPS said that the Convenor of the All Political Parties Forum must make public the names of the academicians and legal experts, who are included in the forum.
It is not yet known to the public that how long the forum would continue its work and how much money has been sanctioned by the Government to run the forum.
As there are many ambiguities about the forum including which room has been allotted by the Assembly Secretariat to the forum, JCILPS does not have any confidence in the forum, the press statement added.
On the otherhand, JCILPS also condemned denial of entry of Myanmarese citizens who came to the State for medical treatment at Shija Hospitals.
Citizens of Myanmar came to the State under a bilateral understanding between Myanmar and India and pro-ILPS movement has nothing to do with their visit.
Lauding the people of the State for initiating non-cooperation campaigns at their respective localities, JCILPS also urged them to continue the movement until ILPS is implemented in the State.
