Robert Naorem's collection at Australian Runway captivates all

Australia, November 21 2018: The Eco Friendly Week Australia Runaway Night Day 4 ended on November 19 with the theme "The EFWA UpCycling Challenge" by RobertNaorem.

The collection for Robert Naorem grand finale was on fashion archeology which was inspired by the history of Manipur (especially the motif work on the Inaphi) by conceiving something unique from thrifted, handmade or recycled apparel.

His collection made a strong statement showing originality and a lasting impression.

His aesthetics design conveys emotions, tradition, culture and beauty of textile, organic silk and hand-woven cotton fabrics by artisans and craftspeople from Manipur.

The embroidery designs and features are intricate which standout with quality and bold colours.

His collection promotes Sangai, Kangla-Sha, Pung Cholom, Meitei Mayek and Nongin.

During the grand finale, a Manipuri folk music composed by Rhythym Thiyam was played in the background.

The final note of EFWA 2018 reaches crescendo, as a wave of spectacular jewel colours flow down the runway.

The second edition of Eco Fashion Week Australia (EFWA) expanded to two States in November, 2018.The week-long events featured local and 24 international designers who practised sustainable, local, and ethical production, either by recycling or upcycling or by using organic and natural materials, which do not leave a carbon footprint or use or create traditional hand-crafted textiles; use environmentally friendly fabrics (organic cotton, wool, alpaca, hemp, bamboo, silk); show evidence of zero waste in their collection; use locally produced products.

Strictly no fur and no animal parts are allowed.

The runway was held in Port Douglas (Queensland) from November 4 till 10 and at Perth (Western Australia) from November 15 till 21.Robert Naorem said, "Global warming has been one of the problems for human existence.

It is the responsibility of every single person to contribute towards saving the environment and I believe in not wasting product so I try to use and incorporate all my fabric.

The fabrics I choose can also be redesigned and used in many different ways.

More than just design, my work is about the emotions, the traditions, the culture and the weavers, the handloom and textiles from the small State Manipur ".

The fashion fraternity and high profile fashion crowd of Australia were present in the show.

The show also got a huge positive feedback from the crowd and apart from a huge media coverage.
