Pentennial Fellowship of PNBA concludes

The three-day Pentennial Fellowship of Poumai Naga Baptist Association (PNBA) concluded on Thursday.
The valedictory function witnessed farewell programme for the 3 outgoing executives of the association and induction of 3 new executives by Nagaland Baptist Churches Council general secretary Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, as administrator.
Rev PT Thaisii, former finance & development secretary; Rev P Thekho, former youth & education secretary and TO Naziiru, former women secretary were the outgoing executives while the new inductees are Michael Rosou from Koide Lower Baptist Church; Ng Liba Hopeson from Purul Akutpa Baptist Church and K Poune from TNK, Senapati Baptist Church.
Organisers and Pastors of Churches under PNBA also presented gifts to the outgoing executives while members of Liyai Baptist Church and Purul Akutpa Baptist Church showcased beautiful skits during the noon session.
At the evening worship, Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, general secretary, NBCC spoke on topics "Be rooted in Christ" as the main speaker.
The speaker mentioned that the first missionary reached the Naga soil in 1836 .
Continuing that Neil Brownson, Nathan Brown were among the first missionaries to reach the North-Eastern states, he added that Dr Clarke was the first missionary to reach Nagaland and William Pettigrew to Manipur.
Hubie Nokte was the first Naga to accept Christianity, unfortunately, he died a month later after his baptism, he continued.
Rev S Shele lowered the flag of the fellowship at the later part of the programme.
