INC candidate alleges

INC candidate in 41 -Chandel (ST) Chungjalen Haokip has alleged that his defeat in the poll was meticulously arranged and declared that he will seek justice before the Court of law.
Speaking to media persons, Chungjalen Haokip alleged that his name was missing from the format specimen signatures of candidates and their election agents, (Annexure 23, Chapter 5, Para 5, 33) issued by the RO of 41 Chandel AC.
He produced a paper as proof which showed the seventh candidate as absent but its authenticity could not be independently verified.
Chungjalen Haokip also claimed that an armed group along with workers of a particularly party had around 10 pm set ablaze his house at Thinglhangphai village.
Six trunk boxes of his escort party containing their valuable documents including land record, service book, head gears and spare uniform were destroyed along with money in his family's possession.
The INC candidate additionally alleged that the poll results may be rigged as he was not convinced that he got a single vote in Sajik Tampak polling station.
He asserted that he has more than one people who can testify that they had pressed the button for him.
In many polling stations the votes were captured or rather arranged by people with vested interests in collusion with officials, he asserted and added that it was a murder of democracy.
