Kangpokpi, April 08 2022:
The non-SoO Kuki militant outfit, Kuki National Front (Nehlun) group has clarified over the alleged apprehension of a wanted KNF-N cadre on March 27 involved in B Gamnom killing by Assam Rifles.
The Assam Rifles had claimed that its Jwalamukhi Battalion of Headquarters 22 Sector under the aegis of Headquarter IGAR(E) apprehended a wanted KNF-N cadre involved in the infamous B Gamnom killing on October 12 last year in a joint operation with police on March 26 afternoon from a mechanical workshop in NH-2 near Kholep village in Kangpokpi District.
The outfit's Information and Publicity Secretary, Gou Kuki said that the apprehended individual Satkithang alias Ranjit had been alienated from the outfit in 2018 owing to his misconduct apart from his differently able condition.
He continued that tagging Satkithang alias Ranjit as a wanted militant involved in B Gamnom's killing by security forces was baseless and false as he had nothing to do with the outfit after his alienation in 2018 .
The outfit further appealed to the Government and security forces to stop harassing such individuals who are now living a normal life and not to accuse them wrongly in the future.
