'District level workshop for nurses' begins

A week-long in-service training for Nurses under the banner 'District Level Workshop on Development of Nursing Services- Training of Nurses' kicked-off on Tuesday at GNM School of Nursing Churachandpur.
The workshop was organised by the Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) Manipur State Branch in collaboration with GNM School authorities and CMO Churachandpur.
It was attended by Ahongshangbam Premkumar, Advisor TNAI Manipur State Branch; Th Nandarani Devi, Registrar, Manipur Nursing Council; and N Tangbi Devi, Principal GNM Training School & President TNAI Manipur State Branch.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vumchinpau Tonsing, CMO Churachandpur said that the crucial training programme was in conception months back but could only be materialized now due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The CMO also stated that the workshop is a necessity for nurses working in PHCs, HWCs, CHCs, PHSCs and Sub District Hospitals as it will keep them updated with the latest medical practices.
At the event, Dr Vumchinpau Tonsing; Lalbiekmoi, Joint Director Nursing, Government of Manipur; Th Nandarani Devi; and Chandchal Huidrom, Tutor GNM Training School educated the Nurses on varying topics.
Besides, the week-long training will also have Dr Thanglalmuang Neihsial; Dr Kaisiankhai Haokip; Esther; M Somendra Singh; N Tangbi Devi; A Mahen Singh; Th Binodini Devi; Sh Surlaxmi Devi; A Rina Devi; Mawi; Lalneikim; and Grace leading the
training sessions.
