Imphal, November 02 2021:
All Manipur 10th & 11th Viva Voce Completed IRB Rifleman & Written Completed Jemadar Candidates 2019 has warned of imposing bandh and blockade in the State if the viva voce result of recruiting 1350 Riflemen at 10th and 11th India Reserve Battalion (IRB) and notification for holding viva voce for recruiting 24 Jemadars are not announced by November end.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club today, secretary of the candidates' group Ng Chingkheinganba recalled that the Chief Minister himself had assured of declaring the result of the recruitment process which began in late 2018 in a month's time.
"It is truly disappointing that the Chief Minister gave Covid pandemic as reason for halting the recruitment without giving any specific schedule to resume the same," he said and reminded that 6750 candidates are waiting for the result of Rifleman post while 24 are awaiting notification for the viva voce of Jemadar recruitment.
Saying that it's been almost 2 years since the recruitment process began, Chingkheinganba urged the Government to declare the result and issue the notification either before the election code of conduct comes into force or by November 10 .
If the demand is not entertained then the candidates from hills and valley districts would impose bandh and blockade in the State.
"The Government must take responsibility for all eventualities," he warned.
