33 injured in bus mishap

Imphal, February 11, 2012:
At least 33 people sustained injuries when the bus in which they were returning after a picnic programme at Leimaram Waterfall, met with an accident at around 3:30 pm today.
The injured victims were members of Yoga Ashna Research Training Centre.
The accident occurred as the break failed to operate as the bus was climbing down a steep slope.
After collided with a tree on the road side, the bus turned turtle.
All the injured were first rushed to Nambol Primary Health Centre.
From there, they have been referred to RIMS, JNIMS and Shija Hospital.
Among the injured persons include, Thingom Pritam from Keishamthong Thangjam Leirak, who is an actor of Manipuri digital film.
Other injured victims have been identified as Ngangbam Ghanashyam (48) of Khuyathong Polem Leikai, Mayanglangbam Gunamani (45) of Konjeng Leikai, Loitongbam Chandra of Kongjeng Leikai, Loitongbam Malemnganba (17) of Konjeng Leikai, Ningthoukhongjam Jenita (25) of Konjeng Leikai, Loitongbam Taruni (55) of Konjeng leikai, Loitongbam Lukamani of Konjeng Leikai, Nongthongbam Romashanti (23) of Konjeng Leikai, Loitongbam Inaocha (41) of Konjeng Leikai, Wahengbam Priyokumar (43) of Thangjambon, Moirangthem Sanjana (14) of Nagamapal, Khaidem Thoithoi (37) of Nagamapal, Sanasam Sangita (20) of Nagamapal, Mayanglangbam Chaoba (55) of Nagamapal, Nongthongbam Nandalal (22) of Nagamapal, Brahmacharimayum Babu (20) of Mahabali Mamang and driver Loitongbam Dinanath (35).The condition of the driver, who is undergoing treatment at RIMS, is stated to be critical.
