Widow ostracized for alleged black art to ensure candidate's loss

In connection with the recently concluded civic body polls, a widow has been ostracized on the allegation that she resorted to black art to ensure the loss in the election of a Congress candidate in the Wangoi NP.
She was paraded in a public place at Wangoi today.
The victimised woman was identified as Thounaojam Ongbi Purnimashi.
The widow speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club today said that she was alone in her house when about 50 men entered her house and dragged her to the market place on Saturday night around 8 pm.
She said that workers of Congress candidate K Robindro, her neighbour, who lost the election to an independent candidate, Longjam Babita, charged her of committing black art on the flag hoisting ceremony of the Congress candidate on December 25, 2010 .
