BJP ready to file PIL on border row: Chaoba

President of BJP Manipur Pradesh Th Chaoba has said that the party is committed to tackle the Indo-Myanmar border issue in the State even by filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the
Supreme Court.
He was speaking as Chief Guest during a one-day political conference organized by BJP Keishamthong Mandal at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai Community Hall here today.
Chaoba further said that the misconduct of the State and Central Governments has aggravated the Indo-Myanmar border issue in the State.
The border fencing and loss of boundary pillars are of great concern to the State.
The national leaders of BJP would raise the border issue at the ongoing Winter Parliamentary Session, he said.
The Government should rectify the faulty border fence immediately.
Moreover, the Congress Government should be held accountable for wasting a staggering amount of Rs.30 crores in fencing the Indo-Myanmar border in the State, the State BJP President contended.
Chaoba further maintained that the victory of BJP in the State Assembly Elections is the first big win ahead of 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
Narendra Modi would become the Prime Minister of India.
The BJP would definitely focus on the Northeast and take strict action against the corrupt Congress leaders in the region.
The BJP is also concerned with the issues of Inner Line Permit System and Land Use Policy in the State, he added.
The conference was also attended by former Registrar of Manipur University Dr RK Ranjan, Lt Col (Retd) Joyraj Chungkham, retired Programme Executive of AIR N Lokendrajit, President of BJP Keishamthong Mandal H Gourachandra and President of BJP Central District Mandal N Iboyaima.
