Imphal, March 23 2014:
Wangjing Tentha Block Congress Committee has strongly objected Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee's (MPCC) reported move of merging MSCP to the ruling party.
In a press statement, the Block Committee cautioned that the move would give discontentment to grassroot Congress workers at a time when intense electioneering of Lok Sabha polls is in progress.
Saying that the ruling party already has 42 MLAs in the 60-Member Manipur Legislative Assembly, the press statement said that ushering five MSCP MLAs to the Congress fold would be tantamount to sheltering two tigers in the same den.
In this regard, the Block Committee, urged the high command of MPCC and Chief Minister to take decision understanding the pulse of the grassroot level party workers.
