Sainik School, Imphal shines in CBSE exams

Sainik School Imphal has attained one hundred pass percentage with 79 cadets out of 83 surpassing the first division marks while 61 cadets attained distinction in the All India Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class X)-2020 conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
This was achieved based on the six main subjects, viz, English, Maths, Manipuri/Hindi, General Science and Social Science.
Pointing Thokchom held the top position of the school by scoring 95.6 percent marks followed by Konsam Kelvin with 94.8 percent marks again followed by Lairenmayum Digbijoy and Kapil Athokpam with 94 percent marks each.
Other subject wise top scorers include: Athili Mark Kashipri in English with 97 marks, Ankit Khatiwada in Hindi/Manipuri with 95 marks, Pointing Thokchom in Maths with 100 marks, again Pointing Thokchom in General Science with 95 marks and Lairenmayum Digbijoy in Social Science with 100 marks.
Further, the school has also accomplished one hundred pass percentage with all the cadets surpassing the first division marks while 71.4 percent of cadets achieved distinction in the Class XII examinations.
This was achieved based on the five main subjects, viz English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Cadet Anurag Khundrakpam is the highest scorer of the school with a score of 93.2 percent followed by cadet Tilobanta Ayekpam with a score of 91.3 percent.
Other subject wise top scorers include: in English, Tilobanta Ayekpam and Lunminthang with a score of 99 marks each; in Maths, Irengbam Alison Singh, Ronendro Angom and Thokchom Siddharth with a score of 95 marks each; in Physics, Irengbam Alison Singh with a score of 90 marks; in Chemistry, Anurag Khundrakpam with a score of 92 marks; in Biology, Anurag Khundrakpam and Tilobanta Ayekpam with a score of 95 marks each.
The Principal of the school Group Captain HCS Chauhan has lauded the cadets for their achievements and wished them success in their future endeavours.
