NKL against join demarcation without consensus, cautions to call 24 hr bandh if Govt fails to act on demand

Jiribam, June 30 2019:
Chairman, NKL, Jiribam, S Sushila Devi, in a press meet organized by Ngamkhei Kanba Lup (NKL), Jiribam at the office of All Manipur Students Union (AMSU), Jiribam today at 3 pm, said that 24 hr bandh will be called from the midnight of July 1 if the Govt conducts join demarcation before responding to the resolution submitted by the NKL.
She further said that they want join survey but they are against the proposed survey based on the survey conducted in 2006 in the absence of any person from Jiribam adding that numbers of memorandums have been submitted regarding the matter to the State Govt but no response was received so far and vehemently opposed the work to conduct survey based on 2006 survey.
She also cautioned that NKL with the support of the public will call total bandh from the midnight of July 1 if the Govt fails to give any response by July 1 .
Y Sanjiv Singh, president, AMSU, Jiribam condemned the one-sided attitude of the State Govt and if the State Govt do not act on the demands of NKL then various forms of violent agitation will be launched starting from the midnight of July 1 .
