Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) expressed gratitude to the organizers, leaders, and participants of the 84th death anniversary of freedom fighter, Haipou Jadonang.
In a statement, Raitu Chawang, president of ZB, AMN lauded the Chief Minister of Manipur, O Ibobi, Dy CM Gaikhangam and other Ministers, public leaders for their participation in the unveiling ceremony of Haipou Jadonang's statue at Haipou Jadonang Park, Keishampat.
The statue was installed at the very site where the patriot was hanged to death by the British ruler behind old jail, Keishampat, Imphal.
The ZB, AMN appreciated P Chuba Ozukum, president of Naga Hoho for attending as a chief guest at the 84th Martyr Day of Haipou Jadonang jointly organized by ZB, AMN and AZSU at Jalukie, Peren district of Nagaland.
ZB welcomes the Government of Manipur for the recognition of Haipou Jadonang and Rani Gaidinliu's contributions.
The death anniversary was observed at many places including Jalukie, Keishampat, Imphal, Tarung-Langol, Imphal, Tamenglong Headquarters, Khoupum valley, Delhi and Silchar, it added.
The Rongmei Naga Council, Manipur and Rongmei Literature Society (AMN) have thanked the Govt of Manipur for installing a bronze statue of Haipou Jadonang.
In a joint statement, RNCM and RLS thanked the Chief Minister for announcing to erect statue of Rani Gaidinliu and a museum in Ranima's name at Imphal.
It further expressed gratitude to the people of Manipur ad the Statue Erection Committee and Organising Committee for organising the Jadonang death anniversary function yesterday.
