KNLF tells Govt staff to attend duty sincerely

The KNLF today released a public notification instructing government servants and their departmental heads to attend their duties attentively while also advising the village chiefs and those involved in developmental schemes to be sincere in their works.
"Substitutes would not be accepted; anyone found failing to maintain their duties and misguiding the people would attract serious action," said a statement of the outfit on its notification intended for the officials.
It has also indicated that it would not accept any malpractice or exploitation of funds on developmental works taken up for the welfare of the society.
All works should conform to the specifications of the work orders, it added.
The KNLF has also asserted that a stern action would be initiated against those who served extortion notices in their name without the knowledge of the finance department.
The outfit's statement issued by one Kolphe has as well declared their to intention boycott the Indian Independence Day, which it said was for the remembrance of the Kuki Rebellion 1917-1919 .
The Kukis fought for the liberation of their land from the clutches of the British.
They also helped India gets freedom from the British colonists but after India attained freedom, the Kukis were dominated and discriminated by the Indian government, alleged the KNLF statement that avows to 'fight for liberation until and unless their blood claimed justice' .
