Imphal, March 24 2014:
The Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union, Manipur and All India Anganwadi Worker Federation urged the concerned authority to provide the Anganwadi workers and helpers' honorarium to the workers and helpers before March 31, 2014 .
According to the statement of the Union, the bill has been pending due to lack of related documents.
As against 439 bank accounts for the same number of Anganwadi helpers and workers, honorrarium was released for only 419, it said while questioning where and how the honorarium for the remaining account holders has been utilised.
Demanding a convincing clarificatfion at the earliest on the matter, the union threatened to launch all sorts of agitation in association with the All India Trade Union Congress and the All Manipur Construction Workers Building Association in case the wrongdoing is not rectified without any further delay.
